The Life Skill Training Programme is designed to provide skill development and employment opportunities to the women and young adults and disadvantaged section of the society. This Project aims to provide quality and professionally designed vocational trainings to male and female adolescents and adults living below the poverty line who cannot access vocational training from government institutes due to educational pre-requisites. The Hope Foundation is implementing vocational training programme partnering with its sister concern Hope Kolkata Foundation and Paschim Banga Krira O Janakalyan Parishad (PBKOJP).

This year i.e. 2012-13, 19 trainees has been enrolled in the Garment Section, 51 trainees in Computer unit and 17 trainees in food and beverages section of the Life Skill training programme of the Hope Kolkata Foundation. 35 disadvantaged women and adult girls from Khidderpore Dock Yard Junction, Kalighat Red-light has been enrolled in tailoring and craft unit of the vocational training unit of PBKOJP.
This year in garment section 715 products were sold generating an income of 620€. And in Boutique 468 items were sold generating an income of 1430€. Hope Restaurant has generated 24303€. 7 exhibitions were conducted in different places of Kolkata like Saturday club, South-city Shopping Mall, HSBC bank in their branches at Dalhousie, Shakespeare Sarani & Gariahat, and Loreto House etc. and generated 293€ from the exhibitions.
5 Trainees from tailoring Unit were placed in the export house (Nakkshi) on 1st of April, 2013. They will be paid a stipend of 32€ per month. After three months of training they will remunerated 89€ as monthly salary. 7 trainees from food and beverages section has been placed Tushar Catering & Fast Food Venture and Flurys Kolkata They will be benefitted with salary of 72€ per month.
