The Sports Day is a major recreation day for the children in HOPE’s care, especially the slum children who hardly get an opportunity to participate in events such as this. Every child has a right to play - a right which has even been acknowledged as a fundamental right of a child as enshrined in the Convention on Child Rights. Playing sports and games develop critical life skills in children that affect positive and sustainable changes. By celebrating annual sports day, HOPE strives to give the children a happy childhood day and help them take another step towards holistic growth.
